Weddings are my passion - creating an enviornment for beautiful things to happen is what i was put on this earth to do.
Hi, I'm Christian
Leigh and Stephen were married at St Mary’s New Orleans Church, followed by a joyful reception at Brennan’s, with a second march in between. The whole day felt soulful and vibrant, moving through three iconic New Orleans spaces with warmth, laughter, and music in every part.
As a candid destination wedding photographer, I’ve documented celebrations around the country that feel just as alive and unique as the people at the center of them, and this one was no exception.
Getting Ready at Hotel St Vincent
Things started at Hotel St Vincent, where the couple got ready together. The light was soft, the vibe was relaxed, and the details felt personal, vintage, and unfussy. I shot a few rolls of film and a little Super 8, and we let the morning unfold without rushing. If you’re drawn to New Orleans wedding pictures that feel colorful and fun, with lots of charm and an earnest vibe Hotel St Vincent is the perfect getting ready spot.
Ceremony at St Mary’s New Orleans Church
St Mary’s New Orleans Church was the perfect space for their ceremony. It’s historic and classic, but not overdone. The light hit just right, and the energy in the room was full but not crowded. With limited seats each guest was clearly chosen with care.
They kept it simple, surrounded by friends and family, and exited into a flurry of cheers and hugs. Leigh and Stephen’s ceremony was punctuated by a grand exit into the father of the grooms vintage car to head toward the party.
Second March + Brennan’s Wedding Reception
The second march wrapped around Brennan’s, bringing all the movement and music you’d expect from a New Orleans destination wedding. Brass, dancing, and guests who understood the assignment. These are the kinds of moments you can’t script, but you can photograph them, and they’re always some of the best.
Inside Brennan’s, things picked up right where the march left off. Turtle soup, a live band, speeches with feeling. The kind of celebration that’s equal parts beautiful and fun. If you’re thinking about a Brennan’s wedding in New Orleans, this is exactly why people love it.
A Wedding That Felt True
Leigh and Stephen didn’t try to make their wedding into a performance. It was thoughtful but relaxed, sweet but not too serious. Each space: Hotel St Vincent, St Mary’s, and Brennan’s, offered its own tone, but the thread between them was clear: connection, joy, and a real sense of place. And the result was a day that felt completely theirs.
